The brothers of the Ordo Verbum Dei adhere to a unique prayer schedule. The two major hours of the day, Lauds and Vespers, contain readings or gospel passages which are integrated with the readings and/or gospel of each day's eucharistic liturgy. While the minor hours of the day keep a weekly rhythm which changes appropriately according to liturgical seasons, the texts of the mass and the major hours work their way through Holy Scripture in an orderly fashion.
